Use the RBBEDIT command to start the R:BASE BLOB viewer/editor with which you can create or edit binary files.
To manage external files, you can use the new RBBEDIT command to bring up Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor at the R> prompt, in a command file in an EEP.
Options
filespec.ext
Any external file such as ASCII TEXT, RTF or any Graphic File
Depending on the data type and form control used, Note/BLOB Viewer/Editor will provide all available options accordingly.
Examples:
RBBEDIT myphoto.jpg
RBBEDIT myphoto.bmp
RBBEDIT myfile.rtf
RBBEDIT myphoto.gif
filespec.rtf
To create a new RFT file, use filename.rtf command to bring up R:BASE RTF writer.
Example:
RBBEDIT myfile.RTF
