Copying an Application

You can copy an application under a new name. For instance, you might want to create an application using the structure of an existing application.

To copy an application:

  1. If the Object Manager is not open, choose Tools: Object Manager...
  2. Click the Apps tab.
  3. Select an application.
  4. Click the Copy button.
  5. Enter the name for the copied application.
  6. Click the OK button.

    After copying an application, you must open and save it in the Application Designer to have the .APW file reflect the new application name.

  7. In the Object Manager, select the copy of the application.
  8. Click the Design button.
  9. Choose File: Save.
  10. Double-click the control-menu box, which is located in the upper-left corner of the "Application Express" window to close the application.
