You can change the environment settings for an application. These settings are as follows:

Messages-You can choose to display status messages. For example, you can display a message that the database exists when the application connects to a database.

Error messages-You can choose to display error messages. For example, you can display an error message if there is no data to display.

Bell-You can choose to sound the computer bell when an error occurs.

To change the application's environment settings:

1. In the "Applications Express" window, choose one of the following commands from the Express menu:
   • Set Message Status
   • Set Error Status
   • Set Bell Status
2. Click the Yes or No button to specify the setting.
