You can set an end of line ASCII character for NOTE, VARCHAR and TEXT fields in forms, reports and the Data Browser. When you insert the character in those fields and then zoom in by pressing [SHIFT]+[F2] this character is translated to a Control-Enter (linefeed). Upon unzooming all Control-Enter characters are translated back to the Lineend character. If you print a report, you see lines break as established by the LINEEND character.

Note: If the line end character has been set to the currency character, R:BASE changes it to ASCII value 0254 when you connect to a database.
